Oran Barrett, from Mrs McGrath’s P7 class, did All Saints’ proud on Sunday 12th May 2019 when he represented Tyrone in the half matches of the Tyrone v Derry Ulster Senior Championship match at Healey Park, a match which Tyrone went on to win.
Oran, who plays his football for Drumragh Sarfields, was selected by qualifying as one of the highest scorers in one of the primary school skills assessment days at Tyrone’s headquarters in Garvaghey.
Playing in front of over 10,000 people on Sunday, Oran saw plenty of action during the game and was presented with a specially embroidered Tyrone T-Shirt supplied by O’Neill Sports to remember the special occasion.
Maybe one day, in the future, Oran will be pulling on the Tyrone senior jersey and representing Tyrone, just like his cousin and another former All Saints’ pupil, Joanne Barrett.
