On Tuesday 11th June 2019 we had our Sports day. On the playground we had to compete in our different coloured house groups. (Reds, Greens, Blues, Yellows & Purples). Each house team had to complete different 'stations'.
Station 1 - Tennis ball under chin relay
Station 2 - Running relay
Station 3 - Dribble a football with a hockey stick relay
Station 4 - Balance a bean bag on your head obstacle course
Station 5 - Highest score Bean bag throw
In between completing stations we would also go to our grass pitch to run off the 'Track & Field' events.
The 5 'Track & Field' events were:
- The Sack Race
- The Spud & Spoon Race
- The Sprint Race
- The Furthest Throw Competition
- The Long Distance Run (All classes with the exception R/P1)
A fantastic day was had by one and all, with lots of different winners as you can see from the attached photographs.
A special word of thanks must go to Stephen Maguire & Dympna Cleary from our local GAA club, Drumragh Sarfields GAC, who very kindly lent us the equipment which helped to make sports day run so smoothly.
